Legal Services for Prisoners with Children

Legal Services for Prisoners with Children, based in San Francisco, CA. LSPC advocates for the human rights and empowerment of incarcerated parents, children, family members and people at risk for incarceration. LSPC responds to requests for information, trainings, technical assistance, litigation, community activism and the development of more advocates. Its focus is on women prisoners and their families, and LSPC emphasizes that issues of race are central to any discussion of incarceration. LSPC also hosts the "All of Us or None" project, which is an organizing initiative started by people who have been in prison, to fight against the discrimination that prisoners, former prisoners, felons, and family members of prisoners face every day. One of All of Us or None's goals is to defeat felon disenfranchisement policies, in the recognition that prison sentences never end as long as the discrimination against former prisoners continues.
