Rit Bellis is the Director and Tribal Attorney for the Suquamish Tribe. Prior to working with the Suquamish, Rit Bellis served as a Government Attorney focusing on federal Indian Law, Litigation, Gaming and Tribal governmental affairs at the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation. Rit also worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Natural Resources Unit for the Navajo Nation Department of Justice. Rit holds a J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law with a focus on Federal Indian Law, Water law and Environmental Law.
